It’s been a couple of years since I last posted. My wife has been in a battle of her life.
I’ll make it brief…
After a family issue in Feb of 2020, she began having severe panic attacks. The psychiatrist put her on Klonopin which is a benzodiazepine (benzo). During that year, she was tried on 4 different antidepressants for 8 weeks each, but all failed to work.
All the time she was trying there antidepressants, the Dr still had her on the benzo. Benzodiazepines are VERY addictive and you’re not supposed to be on them for more than a short few weeks. By the end of 2020, she decided to taper off the benzo and be off of all meds. She wasn’t on them prior to 2020 and had been fine.
She tapered herself off of them and was completely off for 7 weeks. Then on April 1, 2021, she began having severe headaches in the middle of the night. Instead of going to the hospital, we decided for her to take a Klonopin to get her thru the night. Big mistake. She got back to being dependant and had to go to a detox facility in Cushing, OK.
She was there for 10 days and they got her off of the benzo, but when she got home, the withdrawals were 10 times worse. Including insomnia where she didn’t get but 4 hours sleep TOTAL for 2 weeks. So the psychiatrist began trying her on a variety of antipsychotic meds.
By the first part of October, those meds had made her suicidal and she went into a psychiatric hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was in there 10 days. They switched her meds 3 or 4 times and then discharged her… ON THE SAME MEDS THAT HAD MADE HER SUICIDAL TO BEGIN WITH!
By the end of the month, we were at the end of our rope. We found out about a 90 day rehab that we decided to get her into for $30,000. But they sounded wonderful. They didn’t replace meds with other meds.
Long story short, the place turned out to be run by Scientology. We didn’t know anything about Scientology and we couldn’t contact each other… supposedly for the good of the patient. Many bad things happened there which I can’t get into here. But after just 5 weeks, she was rescued out of there by law enforcement that happened to see her being abused while out on a walk with one of the rehab employees. Fortunately, the officers know the reputation of the place. My wife was the 6th person they had rescued in that month alone.
I took her to the main psychiatric hospital in Tulsa (not the same as in October) and she stayed there until Dec 31st. The Drs there said she would heal better at home in a safe environment.
That was almost 8 months ago. Since she’s been home, she’s had fear and oppression. She has brain damage from the meds over the last 2 years. The brain damage has prevented regular medicine, like ibuprofen for example, from working thru her brain. She also has inflammation in her body which is causing severe pain. But, since meds aren’t working thru her brain, nothing can work on the inflammation and pain. So she’s afraid that she’s slowly dying from the inflammation inside.
So, bottom line…
I would TRULY appreciate your prayers for my wife, Rosanne. Pray that a miracle is done for the brain damage, inflammation and pain in her body, in Jesus name. Thank you for reading this far and for your prayers.
